Packaging Manufacturer Plans $3M Central Indiana Expansion

(WHITESTOWN) – A Michigan-based packaging manufacturing company is planning a $3 million expansion in central Indiana.


Officials announced Tuesday that Opus Packaging Group is building a new facility in Whitestown that will allow the company to increase production for customers in Indiana and other parts of the Midwest. Construction on the building is underway and is expected to be complete by July.
The new facility is expected to create more than 40 new jobs by the end of 2022.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Caledonia, Michigan-based Opus Packaging Group up to $240,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans.
