(BEDFORD) – Bonnie (Tully) Costin, 100, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, at StoneBridge Health Campus.
Born April 9, 1919, in Union County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Chesly Miles and Susie Jane (Hill) Tully. Bonnie served as Butler County Deputy Clerk in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where she was a member of the Collins Chapel General Baptist Church. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Bedford. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and walking her dogs. Bonnie taught Sunday school for many years, and always sent cards and encouraging letters.
Surviving: children, Deanna Faye (Bryce) Willis of Warrensburg, Missouri, Mary Jane Bruce of Ash Grove, Missouri, Bonnie Jean Costin of Bedford, Robert Dean (Lisa) Costin of Crawfordsville, daughter-in-law, Brenda Costin of Shelbyville, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchilren, 2 great great granddchildren
Her parents; children, Allan Lynn Costin and Katherine Sue Stroud (the day following her mother); sons-in-law, Ralph Bruce and John Stroud III; and siblings, Saretha Jane, Tully, Joseph Louis Tully, Thomas Glenn Tully, and Ruth Glaab, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Bill McKee officiating. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mitchell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
