(BLOOMINGTON) – A 51-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 41-year-old woman Friday night outside the former Boxcar Books store in Bloomington.
According to Bloomington Police, officer received a report of an assault in progress at 11:45 p.m. in the 400 block of East Sixth Street.
When police arrived they found Shane Frederickson, the female victim and a friend of the victim, who witnessed the attack.
The victim and witness told police Frederickson approached the victim asking for his cell phone. The victim told him she didn’t have it and that is when Frederickson allegedly shoved the female to the ground injuring her.
Frederickson was arrested on a charge of battery.
The female refused medical treatment.
