(BLOOMINGTON) – Addyson Bailey carded a smooth 37 while leading Bedford North Lawrence to a 170-197 victory over Bloomington South during girls high school golf action on the front nine at Bloomington Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
Bailey birdied the second hole and posted only two bogeys to earn medalist honors. The Stars also had four scorers below 50 for the first time this season.
“That’s a very good round for Addyson,” BNL coach Aaron Sanders said. “She was due for a good number. It all came together for her tonight.”
Ashley Chase fired a 40 (with a shot out of bounds on the fifth hole and a birdie on the 8th) and Olivia Sanders added a 45. Nora Howat completed the scoring with a career-best 48, and Daphney Sproles pitched in a 49.
“Having that many scores under 50 is pretty good,” Sanders said.
Kate Lewis paced the Panthers with a 42.
BNL will visit Smock Golf Course in Indianapolis for the Franklin Central Invitational on Saturday.
