(NORTH VERNON) – Jennings County’s Baylee Byford recorded a hat trick as Jennings County conquered Bedford North Lawrence 7-2 during girls high school soccer action on Thursday afternoon.
Morgan Lane added two goals for the Panthers, who owned a 2-0 advantage at halftime before pulling away.
Emma Stone got the Stars on the board off a Jennifer Ramirez assist with 7:40 remaining, and Ramirez added the second goal with 3:51 left.
“The girls played hard, especially since we were down two more girls (Ava Sanchez and Macii Miller with ankle injuries),” BNL coach D.J. West said. “It is frustrating because we are not seeing any results from their hard play.”
Katie Pappenheim and Emily Montgomery added the other goals for Jennings.
The Stars (0-5, 0-4 in the Hoosier Hills Conference) will visit Madison on Saturday.
