(SHOALS) – A traffic stop in Shoals landed an Orleans man behind bars Wednesday.
A Martin County Sheriff Corporal was patrolling in Shoals around 1:19 a.m. when he noticed a vehicle with a registration and equipment violation.
The driver was later identified as 53-year-old James G. Montesano
A K-9 was called to the scene and alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle. When searching the vehicle, police found a little less than a gram of meth.
Montesano was arrested and transported to the Martin County Security Center on a charge of possession of meth.
