(BEDFORD) – In a very brief meeting Tuesday evening the Lawrence County Council announced that Lawrence County employees will receive a five-percent raise in 2020.
In a statement:
“The Lawrence County Council has spent hours and has diligently pursued the best means to show our employees how much we appreciate their dedication to making Lawrence County the best county in the State of Indiana. To show our gratitude we are pleased to announce the County Council is recommending a five percent (5%) raise to all county employees. The County Council hopes this proposed raise shall serve as an indication of our appreciation for all our county employees.”
Final adoption of the budget will occur at the next Lawrence County Council meeting.
There was no other business conducted Tuesday night.
The Council met with various officer holders to make recommendations on their respective upcoming budget for 2020 in Executive Session prior to the public meeting.
