(BEDFORD) – Radius Indiana is hosting its first-ever pitch competition as it tries to find the next big startup idea in southern Indiana. The contest is an opportunity to present an idea, product or business plan to a panel of judges and receive feedback and advice.
The regional economic development partnership helps serve eight counties by drawing and retaining business in that part of the state.
“Supporting entrepreneurship, at any point in the creative process, has become a very important initiative to Radius,” said Radius Indiana CEO and president Jeff Quyle.
Participants in the competition will be split into two categories based on age groups. In addition to feedback and entrepreneurial advice from experts, contestants will also compete for cash prizes and in-kind services.
The first round of the competition takes place in October with the championship round in December.
“Our entrepreneurship and small business growth support are services that allow Radius to provide a new level of depth and assistance to the local economic developers in our eight counties,” Quyle said.
