William M. Neighbors, 62, of Springville, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
Born November 8, 1956, he was the son of Thomas and Lois (Brawnlee) Neighbors. He retired in 2009 after thirty years as a machine operator and fork truck driver for General Motors. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #440.
Survivors include his partner for twenty-five years, Evelyn Hughes; children, Thomas Schwander and Sabrina Dykstra, both of Florida, and William George Neighbors, of Orleans; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Abigail, and Emma Schwander, Logan and Joslyn Dykstra, and Lyric Neighbors; extended family children, Lisa Pinkston (Aaron), Billy Harkness (Kiley); extended grandchildren, Tessa Stickney (Uriah), Tanaea Harkness, Elizabeth Harkness, and Taylor Johnson; extended great-grandchildren, Jacelyn Golden, Jayda, Aiden, and Liam Harkness and Raylan Farler; sisters, Patty
(Ron) Holland, of Plymouth, MI, Carol Neighbors, of Austin, TX, Susan Lapham Neighbors, of Walled Lake, MI, Janet (Guy) Boitos, of Bloomfield Hills, MI; a brother, John Neighbors, of Plymouth, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Austin Lapham.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 5th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Dr. Bob Courson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
