(BEDFORD) – A Paoli woman was arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to Walmart on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers were requested to the store at 2:25 p.m. after Walmart employees stopped 38-year-old Emily Lloyd for theft.
“An employee witnessed Lloyd remove a tag from a pair of shoes and proceeded to the self-checkout,” says Chief Moore. “The employee watched Lloyd only scan and pay for part of the merchandise in her cart.”
She was stopped after walking out of the store.
Lloyd was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of theft and a no-trespass order to stay out of Walmart.
