(CARLISLE) – Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) congratulates Cheryl McDaniel on her promotion to Correctional Caseworker.
Cheryl began her career with Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) in 2015. During Cheryl’s correctional career she has worked numerous custody posts. Working as a relief officer on H-Bracket she gained a wide range of experience dealing with a variety of offenders, while working along side several different staff members.
In addition to her WVCF experience Cheryl also comes with 7 1/2 years experience from Indiana State Prison (ISP). During her time at ISP Cheryl worked Death Row, Restricted Housing, Master Control, Dispatch and Administration. Cheryl’s ability to rise to the challenges of each position made her a good candidate for caseworker.
Caseworkers at WVCF serve as a liaison between the offender population and other Departments, as they show offenders how to navigate the correctional environment.
“Cheryl brings a vast array of experience to the table, making her a good fit for caseworker. Her knowledge of different areas within the Department will help her assist the offender population,” said Unit Team Manager Heather Blasingame.
