Northlake Auto Recyclers in Hammond Recognized for Environmental Stewardship

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) awarded Northlake Auto Recyclers with its sixth “Indiana Clean Yard-Gold Level” certification in recognition of the company’s efforts to protect the environment. The facility is located at 105 Industrial Road in Hammond. 

“I am pleased to see companies like Northlake Auto Recyclers help lead the industry,” said IDEM Commissioner Bruno Pigott. “This is a great example of how we can work with businesses and help them find ways to improve their processes while protecting Hoosiers and our environment.”

The Indiana Clean Yard program was established in 2009 as a collaborative effort by IDEM and the Automotive Recyclers of Indiana to decrease environmental threats posed by vehicles stockpiled in salvage yards.
