(BEDFORD) – A 13-year-old girl was arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to a home in the 2200 block of M Street after a report of an unruly juvenile.
When police arrived at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, they spoke to the girl’s mother who said her daughter had struck her and she wanted to pursue charges.
“Officers located the juvenile in the bathroom and while trying to speak with the juvenile she continued to yell and scream after being asked to calm down,” says Chief Terry Moore. “While dealing with the juvenile an officer was kicked and after going outside the juvenile continued to scream and cause a scene with the neighbors.”
Juvenile Probation was contacted and the mother signed a promise to appear form and the juvenile was released back to her mother.
The juvenile is facing charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
