(ORLEANS) – The Orleans Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Orleans are once again joining up efforts to help make the community a little more festive during the upcoming holiday season by providing the Christmas decorations in the historic downtown area.
Christmas Décor/HAP Industries of Jonesboro has installed, maintained, removed and stored the decorations for the past several years.
The Chamber has established a special “Christmas Light Fund” to help defray some of the ongoing costs involved with the holiday decorations for the historic town park square and downtown areas.
Donations for any amount large or small are now being accepted. Donors to the 2019 effort will be recognized in the coming weeks in The Orleans Progress Examiner.
Donations can be mailed directly to the Orleans Chamber at the address below or dropped off at Orleans Town Hall during regular business hours.
Checks should be made payable to:

The decorations in historic Congress Square will be in place and officially lit the day after Thanksgiving and remain alight throughout the Christmas Season.
This year will also mark the return of the annual “Christmas on the Square” event set for December 14th from 5 to 7 p.m., which has become a popular tradition for area families to enjoy together.
