James H. Sproles 78 of Bedford passed away at Franciscan Health Medical Center in Indianapolis on Saturday, November 16, 2019, after a brief illness surrounded by his beloved family.
Born on January 16, 1941, to James Thomas Sproles and Mary Elizabeth Wagoner Boling, who both preceded him in death. James married Carolyn J. Taylor on September 2, 1961, and shared 58 wonderful years together.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn, one son James Scott Sproles and wife Denise of Oolitic, granddaughters, Sydney Mae Sproles and Daphney Ann Sproles, which were his pride and joy, siblings, Judy Hamilton of Oolitic, Deanna (Jerry) Pemberton of Mitchell, Debbie Kinder of Shoals and Donnie (Belinda) Boling of New Castle, also 6 nieces and nephews, also several great-nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jared Scott Sproles, brother Jack Michael Sproles, grandparents, Jack and Pearl (Jones) Sproles, Charles and Ruth (Mundy) Wagoner.
Jim was a local business owner of Sproles Automotive Machine Shop for 30 years. An avid Ford man who loved his family and enjoyed attending car shows.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Clarence Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford. Visitation will be on Wednesday from Noon until service time at 3 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
