Angela Carolyn Atanacio, 88, of Medora, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born May 7, 1931, in Blacksburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of Georg Albert and Clara Pauline (Kitchel) Johnson. She married Daniel Atanacio September 8, 1979.
Angela was a classification specialist for the U. S. Navy. She was a member of the Oolitic United Methodist Church and was the choir director, organist, and pianist. She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Atanacio of Medora; daughters, Sherry Ann Pearce of North Branch, Minnesota, Danielle Alexandra Callahan of Lakewood, California; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren
Her parents and sister, Sydney Lloyd, preceded her in death.
Memorial service will be at Noon on Saturday, December 28, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Valarie Foughty-Killion officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
