Mark A. Jenkins, 66, of Springville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020, at his residence. Born on October 20, 1953, he was the son of Claude and Ethel (Self) Jenkins. Mark married Lisa Salmon on January 15, 1982, and she survives.
Mark was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1972 and retired from W. F. Meyers in 2007. He was a member of the Southland Church of Christ. He loved hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with friends and his dogs.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa of Springville; two sons, Mark (Cindy) Bower of Fort Ritner and Trent (Stephanie) Jenkins of Manhattan, Illinois; one daughter, Julia (David) Cootes of Virginia Beach, Virginia; five grandchildren, Michael Cootes, Mallory (Caleb) McLemore, Levi Meadows, Bryce Bower, Adelynn Jenkins; one expected great-grandchild, Aria; one sister, Brenda Poore of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Bud Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020, at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White River Humane Society.
