(INDIANAPOLIS) – Tax law changes, court case outcomes, and industry speculation highlight the agenda for the all-new 2020 Indiana Business Tax Conference.
The two-day event, planned by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, will be held February 5-6 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis.
Attendees can also expect a deep dive into state and local tax (SALT) matters, including advice for companies doing business in Kentucky or Ohio.
Leading industry experts and professionals like Daniel Mudd, a partner at Frost Brown Todd LLC, will be presenting at the conference.
“Although historically overlooked, SALT issues are becoming one of the most important items that companies should be thinking about when purchasing, selling or merging its business, operations, divisions or assets,” Mudd says. “The Wayfair (Supreme Court) decision on sales tax collection has created a number of new and evolving issues, which can greatly affect these deals – and pop up years later during an audit.”
Other speakers will go in-depth on topics such as managing audits and appeals, making sense of tax and economic development incentives and leveraging the power of data. Keynotes will come from leaders at the American Enterprise Institute, Council on State Taxation and Indiana Department of Revenue.
The cost for the full conference is $599 for Indiana Chamber members; $699 for non-members. Single day registration is offered, and group discounts are available.
