(LOOGOOTEE) – The Loogootee community has a new library at 504 Park Street.
The new library is much bigger than the last one and includes more rooms for meetings and tutoring, computers, iPads and of course books.
The library held an open house on Sunday showing off the new building.
Bethany Tinkle is the treasure of Friends for Loogootee Library and says the project cost nearly $1.3 million to complete.
Tinkle says the library is a central hub of the community.
The library’s hours are:
- Sunday: Closed
- Monday: 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
- Tuesday: 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
- Wednesday: Closed
- Thursday: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
