Viola Irene Hill, 94, of Bedford, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born November 6, 1925, in Martin Co., she was the daughter of Woody and Sarah (Pipher) Hamilton. She married David Hill on January 17, 1944, and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and attended Calvary Chapel Church in Bedford. She spent her life worshiping her God and taught many Sunday School classes. She loved and prayed daily for her family.
Survivors include her son, David (Janie) Hill, of Bedford; grandchildren, Keith (Kelli) Henderson, of Williams, Nathaniel Hill, of Bedford, Jessica Dayle (Drew) Stewart, of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Chaylin and Kelsi Henderson and Carter D. Hill.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Jim, Bill, Roe, Gordon, Raymond, and Opal Hamilton; her sisters, Della Pipher, Mary Jones, Lillian Sipes, Maggie Hunt, and Dovie Chastain.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Knott Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until the hour of service on
Saturday, February 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
