Deloris Hoffman, 90, of Bedford died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Signature Healthcare in Terre Haute, IN.
Born November 1, 1929, in Avoca, IN, she was the daughter of Delbert and Ethel (Pugh) May. Deloris had worked at Springville Elementary School as a Kindergarten aide, Hook’s Drug Store and had been a greeter at Wal-Mart and Day & Carter Mortuary.
She was a member of the Owensburg Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include one son: Martin Hoffman and his wife Estella of St. Louis, MO; one daughter: Barbara Hazen and her husband Wade of Terre Haute; three grandchildren: Sarah Thomas of Bedford, Erin McCracken and her husband Richard of Bentonville, AR, and Jessica Millermaier and her husband Max of New York, NY; one step-granddaughter: Michelle Hazen Scank and her husband A.J. of Terre Haute; one great-granddaughter: Madisyn Thomas of Bedford; two great-grandsons: Benjamin and Turner McCracken both of Bentonville, AR several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her special friend and dancing partner, Bob Banks of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James May.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 20 th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery.
