Rastonna Louise “Rusti” Coulter, 51, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born August 22, 1968, in Paoli, she was the daughter of Royston Herman “Tad” and Dorothy Louise (King) Coulter. She was previously married to Scott McBride.
Rusti was employed at Hoosier Uplands in the Early Head Start program and was Information Systems Manager. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1986 and earned an associate degree from Oakland City University. Rusti loved adventure, rock music, fixing things, but most of all, she loved her family. Rusti was a second mom to her nieces and nephews. She was a planner, an organizer, and lots of fun.
Survivors include her son, Treyton McBride of Mitchell; mother, Dorothy Kirk of Mitchell; companion, Brian Scott Pruett of Mitchell; sister, Shanna Lynn Freeman of Mitchell; several nieces, nephews, and extended family
Her father and brothers, Kevin Lee “Butch” Coulter and Steven Lawrence Coulter, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
