BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence senior Skyler Bates finished ninth in the IHSAA diving regional on Tuesday night at Bloomington South.
Bates, who won the sectional title at Jasper, scored 355.55 points. The top eight in the field of 16 qualified for the state finals at IUPUI on Saturday.
Floyd Central’s Evan Thomas won the regional crown with 543.45 points. Bates missed the eighth spot by 5.15 points.
