Carole Ann (Coots) Malott, 76, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 22, 1943, in Clark County, she was the daughter of Louis and Mae (Plummer) Coots. She married Larry Michael Malott in November 1971.
Carole was a caseworker for Family Social Services Administration. She was a member of Fishing Creek Chapel. Carole enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Michael Malott of Mitchell; son, Greg (Laura) Tolbert of Campbellsburg; step-daughter, Tammy McVay of Campbellsburg; grandchildren, Heather (Luis) Chavarria of Crane, Tiffany (Clifford) Pruett of Mitchell, Isaiah (Kelsey) McVay of Mitchell; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kate Gray of Sellersburg, Terry Lee Smelling of Salem, Murl Coots of Salem, Roy Coots of Henryville, Keith Coots of French Lick, Mari Coots of Orleans; niece, Whitney (Rick) English of Charlottesville, Virginia
Her parents; daughter, Tracy Jo Tolbert; granddaughter, Tracy Ann Tolbert; and grandson, Harley McVay, preceded her in death.
Cremation was chosen.
