Shirley Ann Reynolds, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4th at Hospice House in Bloomington.
She was born September 26, 1935, in Bedford, to Harold and Grace (Jones) Starr. She attended Bedford High School. Shirley married Gerald Reynolds of Bedford, and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Shirley worked as a staff member at White River Lodge for over 18 years, where she was extremely loyal and dedicated to the care of her residents. She truly loved everyone there and considered this her calling. Each person there that she encountered was like family to her, and grateful for her love and compassion.
Shirley is survived by her loving family who was the highlight of her life, including son David Reynolds of Bedford, son Victor Reynolds, and wife Rita, of Bedford, and daughter Crystal Watterson, and husband Alan of Atlanta GA.
Shirley had 9 grandchildren that she adored including Rebecca Melson, Stormy Grissom, Brandon Reynolds, Brittany Reynolds, Garrett Reynolds, Daven O’Brien, Alec Watterson, Cameron Watterson, and Olivia Watterson. She also had 6 great-grandchildren. Shirley had many close lifelong friends as well that she loved as though they were family.
A Celebration of Life ceremony is being planned for family and friends to attend and will be announced at a later date.
