Sport: baseball; Career choice: criminal justice; College: Grace College
Question 1: What lessons did playing multiple high school sports teach you?
Provo: Participating in multiple high school sports taught me the values of teamwork and leadership skills. It has also taught me a lot about adversity and overcoming obstacles.
Question 2: Who has been your role model?
Provo: One of my youth group leaders, Steve McKinley, has been a great role model for me throughout my teenage years. He has taught me the importance of putting others before myself and perseverance in tough times.
Question 3: Can you describe your emotions when the baseball season was cancelled?
Provo: It was very hard to grasp. It seemed unreal that we wouldn’t be able to achieve all the goals we had made as a team.
Question 4: What pointed you toward your future career path?
Provo: My dad suggested a career as an FBI agent after I described that I wanted to either be a criminal profiler or a detective. I have always been interested in the criminal justice field.
Question 5: As the restrictions are lifted, who’s the first person you wanted to see?
Provo: I want to see my grandparents. I enjoy spending summers working on the farm and fishing with them.
