(BEDFORD) – At the conclusion of the Bedford City Council meeting Monday night Bedford Mayor Sam Craig announced a Fourth of July celebration will be held.
There will be no bands, and or food vendors, but fireworks will light the night sky to celebrate the Nation’s birth, and give the city residents something to celebrate during the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
The location has not been announced but will be held in a location that individuals will be able to enjoy the fireworks. The displays will be strictly an aerial show.
No tax dollars will be used for the celebration; all the money raised for the celebration will be strictly donations. Anyone wishing to donate can contact Bedford City Hall to learn how to contribute. The goal is to raise $8,000.
More information will be released in the weeks to come.
