At the end of the school board meeting, Karla Hudson addressed the school board in regards to being demoted from Stalker Kitchen Manager to Dollens/Oolitic Middle School starting in August of this year.
“I was promised the position at Stalker would remain. I was told my pay would also remain the same. However this week I was told I was being moved as a cook and reduction in pay,” Hudson told the board members.
Prior to the conclusion of the board meeting, Kirsten Collier addressed the other members stating that she would not have voted on these personnel changes had she known the facts in regards to Mrs. Hudson.
“We need to find a way to fix this. A transfer means that the position and pay go with the position. Not a reduction in pay, or demotion from the position,” said Collier.
