(INDIANAPOLIS) – The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) recognized Kiwanis International, headquartered in Indianapolis, for innovation and industry best practices, as one of 14 companies total nationwide. The awards were presented during the Areas Inspiring Mail Meeting held virtually June 4.
Kiwanis International received the Great Lakes Area Mailing and Digital Innovation Award. A global organization of clubs and members, Kiwanis is dedicated to strengthen communities and serve children.
The organization used the Postal Service’s Informed Delivery feature to add digital reach to physical mail pieces sent as part of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund 2019 fundraising campaign.
USPS presented awards in two categories: the Mailing and Digital Innovation Award, recognizing customers who demonstrate creativity by finding new methods of using mail to drive significant business results and mail growth; and the Shipping and eCommerce Innovation Award, honoring customers who have used industry best practices to implement new technologies to maximize efficiencies and to convert requests for purchase and fulfillment into package orders and deliveries. There were two winners in each of the Postal Service’s seven geographic areas across the nation: Capital Metro, Eastern, Great Lakes, Northeast, Pacific, Southern and Western.
