(ELLETTSVILLE) – A garage collapsed Thursday afternoon, trapping one man in the rubble in the 5000 block of State Road 46 West, in Ellettsville.
Two men were dismantling an old garage when the garage collapsed on one of them.
Responding to the scene were 15 firefighters from the Ellettsville Fire Department, along with two IU Health Ambulances.
It took firefighters approximately 29 minutes from the time of the call to free the trapped man.
The victim was conscious and assisted rescue personnel in getting himself free. The victim was transported to IU Health Hospital Bloomington for treatment.
