(SHOALS) – It’s about time for the 4th Annual Martin County Sheriff’s Office Jeep, Bike & 4×4 Ride.
This year’s scenic ride through Martin County will take place on Saturday, August 1 with registration beginning at 4 p.m. and kickstands up at 5 p.m.
Riders will depart from the Shoals Community School and will enjoy a few stops along the way with a K9 demonstration, refreshments, and door prize drawings. The ride will end at the Martin County Museum.
In addition, the ride will be in the evening so participants can all take advantage of the cooler weather and enjoy the Catfish Festivities and fireworks later in the evening.
Officials know area businesses have been affected by recent events due to COVID-19, however, funds raised from this annual ride are integral in supporting various community programs, such as the reserve deputy program, the department’s K9, and ladies’ shooting course programs.
The department is accepting donations for items to be used for door prize drawings that are given out during the ride. Examples of previous years’ donations include promotional items, gift certificates/cards, event/admission tickets, and other items. If you would like to donate please contact the Martin County Sheriff’s Department at 812-247-3726.
