Charles D. Holsapple, 83, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born May 12, 1937, in Mitchell, he was the son of William E. and Mary F. (Lewis) Holsapple.
He owned Holsapple Insurance Agency, and was a real estate agent. Charles was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine Temple, and La-Or-Ma Shrine Club. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1955, served in the Indiana National Guard, and was an auctioneer for 15 years.
Survivors include his children, Malinda (Bradley) Powell of Mitchell, Lisa Holsapple of Bedford, Steven (Kimberly) Holsapple of Mitchell; grandchildren, Sierra Burton, Brooke Clardy, and Brittany Holsapple; great-granddaughter, Isla Clardy; sister, Sharon Ann (Edmund) Melvin of Mitchell
His parents and a half-brother, Robert Holsapple, preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Brother Jim Russell officiating. Â Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
