(NEEDMORE) – No one was injured when a vehicle struck a pole in the 4800 block of Peerless Road on Saturday afternoon.
The call came in at 2:04 p.m. reporting an accident with several telephone poles down.
When emergency personnel arrived they found a vehicle at a telephone pole, with several of the poles leaning out into the roadway.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle fled from the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by Lawrence County Police Department.
Lawrence County Police, Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Seals Ambulance responded the scene. The utility company was contacted to make repairs to the telephone poles.
