Mildred A. “Mim” Divine, 91, of Loogootee, went home to be with Jesus on September 9, 2020, at 2:45 p.m.
She was born at home on November 29, 1928, in Rutherford Township, Martin County, Indiana, to Orville and Mabel (Hembree) Divine.
Mim was “floor lady” at Reliance Manufacturing which later became Perfect Fit, and was a member of the Trinity Gospel Tabernacle in Loogootee. Mim spent her life serving others unselfishly. She was dearly loved by her family and her legacy will live on for generations to come.
Survivors include two sisters, Clara J. Smith of Shoals and Dorothy S. (Arthur) Snyder of Washington; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother-in-law, Norbert Smith.
Private services are planned for the family with burial in the Goodwill Cemetery.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral is entrusted with the arrangement.
