BNL’s Cameron Gratzer absorbed a ball to his eye midway through the first set at No.1 doubles, but he bounced back with Konley Woodward for a 7-6 (7-5 in the tiebreaker), 6-2 triumph over Cole Atha and Jace Watson.

Konley Woodward

“Thankfully it was nothing serious,” BNL coach Donnie Thomas said. “It was red around his eye and a little bloodshot, but he wasn’t going to let that stop him. It motivated him more.”

The Warriors won at No.2 doubles as Joe Neace and Blake Drury fought off Nate Pemberton and Caleb Jones 6-2, 5-7, 6-1.

The Stars will host Salem on Thursday.
