Frances E. Emmons, 85, of Bedford, went to celebrate Heaven on the morning of Thursday, September 17, 2020.
Born June 1, 1935 in Brown Co., she was the daughter of George and Goldie (Roberts) Dunn. She married the love of her life, Clifford Emmons and they would have celebrated sixty-six years together on October 16th.
Frances loved her family and enjoyed cooking, camping,sewing, and drawing. She was a homemaker and member of the Restoration Church of the Nazarene in Bedford.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford, of Bedford; four daughters, Pamela Deckard and husband, Steven, of Bloomington, Camela Emmons of Oolitic, Angela Moore and husband, Richard, of Shoals, and Kimberly Cook and
husband, Steven, of Odon; three sons, Gregory Emmons, of Bedford, Timothy Emmons and wife, Latasha, of Panama City, FL, and Anthony “Scott” Emmons and wife, Jonnetta, of Bedford.
Of these children, Frances and Clifford were blessed with two sets of twins. She had fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; two brothers, Marcus (Park) Dunn and wife, Shirley, of Nashville, IN and Mahlom (Bud) Dunn, of Edinburg, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Nathan Joel Dunn, Vonda Allen Dunn, and David Norris Dunn; four sisters, Doris Ferguson, Naomi Ruth Oaks, Mildred Lucille Lucas and
Kathleen Jean Castle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Ken Bushey officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19th and from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
