Robert Carroll Harrison, 95, of Loogootee, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Odon, Indiana.
He was born September 30, 1924 in Medora, Indiana to Frank and Iva (Reed) Harrison. He married Margaret J. McAfee on May 13, 1944 and she preceded him in death.
He attended Purdue University and Indiana University, was manager of Farm Bureau Insurance offices in Washington and Loogootee and was store manager of Home Outfitters in Washington. Robert was a member of the Loogootee United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and was Veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include granddaughters, Lori Moore of Ellettsville, Stacy Harrison-King of Bedford and Andrea Harrison of Bedford; grandsons, Darren (Bernadette) Goins of Indianapolis, Ronald Harrison of Bedford,
Nathan Harrison of Loogootee and Eric Harrison of Bloomington. Several great and great-great grandchildren also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Linda Winegar; two sons, Ronald Harrison and Derek Harrison; and one grandson, Ronnie Allen.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Loogootee United Methodist Church with Pastor Colleen Harden officiating. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements.
