(JOHNSON CO.) — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction plans to conduct beam setting operations on U.S. 31 over Amity Ditch (north of S.R. 252) starting Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Johnson County.
Intermittent stoppages are scheduled between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and will last up to 20 minutes at a time. Stoppages will continue though Saturday, Oct. 17, for placement of additional beams and concrete deck pours. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time or seek an alternate route to avoid delays.
This work is part of a superstructure replacement project that began in July and is expected to be complete by late October.
