(ORLEANS) – Orleans Town Marshal Richard Dixon has had several complaints filed recently on the theft of political signs throughout the town and surrounding areas.
He would like to take the time to make it clear that Indiana IC Code 35-43-4-2 stipulates that a person who knowingly or intentionally exerts unauthorized control over property belonging to another person, with intent to deprive the other person of any part of its value or use, commits the crime of theft and may also be charged with criminal trespass.
