(BEDFORD) – Nana’s Farmhouse Charm has won the Fall in Love with Downtown Window Decorating Contest hosted by Bedford Revitalization, Inc (BRI). Seven downtown businesses decorated for the season and Becky Mason, an art teacher in Mitchell, selected a team to help her judge the windows.
Mason said the four judges really enjoyed the displays. “First place goes to Nana’s Farmhouse. She had the outside decorated as well as the shop window. It was so inviting and just said ‘FALL’ all over. It was welcoming and her theme was carried throughout. The bicycle and the wheelbarrow outside is fun.”
Mason and her fellow judges also gave accolades to Atchison Eyecare with its welcoming and warm outside display and Stone Cottage’s attractive windows. BRI thanks all the businesses who got into the fall spirit and decorated their windows.
Nana’s Farmhouse Charm will be awarded a certificate along with media recognition and radio commercials to use on 1340 AM WBIW, WQRK 105.5 FM, or Litefm 102.5 FM.
BRI encourages people to visit the courthouse square to view the fall decorations and to participate in Shop the Square which is also part of the Fall in Love with Downtown Bedford month.
