David R. Melvin, 68, of Bedford, passed away at 12:44 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his residence.
Born November 18, 1951 in Bedford, he was the son of William R. and Marjorie V. (Wilhoite) Melvin. He married Debra Prince on April 11, 1975 and she survives. He retired from Cook, Inc. working in the packaging department.
David loved to travel, visiting forty-four states in his lifetime.
Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Debbie, of Bedford; a daughter, Hillary Hedge and husband, Mark; grand-daughters, Jaidyn Muholland and Baileigh Hedge; a nephew, Bryan Melvin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Melvin.
Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
