(INDIANAPOLIS) – As members of the Indiana General Assembly meet for Organization Day on Tuesday, November 17, the Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA) has announced that during the 2021 session, it will support legislation that protects businesses from COVID-19-related liability when good-faith efforts to protect employees, visitors and customers are made.
The IMA will also work with legislators and Governor Holcomb to expand and adapt successful workforce development programs that manufacturers need to meet current and future workforce demands.
Additionally, the IMA will continue its efforts on health care reform that reduces health care costs in Indiana for employers and employees alike.
“The Indiana Manufacturers Association welcomes members of the Indiana General Assembly to the start of the 2021 Legislative Session in what will be a unique and challenging environment. First and foremost, manufacturers across Indiana need stability. Liability protections are critical to giving our members the added confidence needed to continue investing in Indiana,” said IMA President and CEO Brian Burton.
