Jackie Lee Holt, 81, of Dale, formerly of Shoals, passed on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the Timbers in Jasper.
He was born December 2, 1938, in Martin County to Cecil and Minnie (Trimble) Holt. He married Rebecca Stine on January 19, 1974, and she survives.
Jack was a self-employed mechanic and was previously employed with the Martin County Highway Department where he proudly used the CB handle “County Mechanic”. He enjoyed spending time a McDonald’s in Loogootee, and also loved country music and dancing. He attended the Shoals Christian
Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; his children, Bridgette (James) Canada and Crystal Taylor; grandchildren, Ashlyn (Colton) Burns of Texas, Justyn Moffatt, Chris (Mikayla) Blevins, Darrin Huntsman, Jason Taylor, and Alyssa Taylor; great-grandchild Adrian Louis Blevins; and one sister, Beverly Sue
Hopkins. Several nieces, nephews, and his “babies” Pepper and Precious also survive.
Preceding him in death are his parents and siblings, Betty Harding, Larry Holt, Robert Holt, and Patty Hert.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Pastor Matt Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Queen- Lee Chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Jackie’s memory to the Martin County Humane Society.
