(BEDFORD) – The First Step 5K will be held on January 1st, to help Bertha’s Mission. This will make the third year of the event.
The course will start and end at the Bedford Downtown Depot and will go past Bertha’s Mission. The route will be the same as the previous years.
Race entries are limited to the first 100 registrants and cost $25 to enter prior to December 24, 2020. After December 24, 2020, including race day registration, will increase to $30 per entrant.

All checks need to be made payable to Bertha’s Mission.
Social distancing and use of face masks will be required. on race day. The race will be chip timed, and each person may start the race any time between 9:00 and 9:10 a.m. Each finisher will receive a medal at the finish line. There will not be an awards ceremony this year.
“The theme this year is Crushing 2020 and Looking Forward to 2021,” said Jim Sowders one of the organizers of the event.
