(KNOX CO.) – Monday morning at approximately 9 a.m., Indiana State Police and Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence located at 104 Park Avenue in Oaktown to execute an arrest warrant on 38-year-old Nicole Benson.
Benson was wanted on an active warrant out of Gibson County for felony theft.
Benson and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Stanley Eck, were present inside the residence. When troopers entered the residence to arrest Benson, they observed a meth pipe in plain view.
During a further search of the residence, officers found 76 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 9.5 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 164 grams of marijuana, and dozens of various drugs.
Benson and Eck were arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail where they are currently being held on bond.
Benson is facing charges of dealing in meth, dealing in psychedelic mushrooms, possession of meth, dealing marijuana, unlawful possession of a legend drug, unlawful sale of a legend drug, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for theft.
Eck is facing charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
