Jack D. Goen, 78, of Bedford, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at I.U. Health Hospice in Bloomington.
Born June 11, 1943, in Bedford, he was the son of Paul and Clorine (Lee) Goen. He was a truck driver for General Motors for forty years. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 440. He was an avid Dodger’s fan and loved sports and his family.
Survivors include a sister, Judy Thurman, of Oolitic; a sister-in-law, Debbie Goen, of Bedford; nieces and nephews, Deanna Riggle (Reece), Wes Brown, Gavin Brown, and Byron Goen, all of Bedford; great-nieces and nephews, Shelby Riggle, Rehn Riggle, Shiley Riggle, Zach Brown, Gunnar Brown, Gracie Brown, and Jackie Brown; a great-great-nephew, Rowen Riggle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Goen and William Dean Goen (in infancy).
Per Jack’s wishes, no service or visitation is planned. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Jack’s name.
