Lucy M. Collins, 90, of Bedford, passed away at 12:18 p.m. at IU Health in Bedford on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
She was born March 8, 1930, in Laurel County, Kentucky to Ed and Mary Gross. Lucy worked for 25 years at RCA in Bloomington and then she did home health taking care of “older people” some younger than her. She attended Bedford Assembly of God and Shiloh Church at Eureka.
Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (George) Bundy, one son, Douglas (Dolores) Collins, eight grandchildren, Will (Jean) Bundy, Elizabeth Poe, Lindy (Mitzi) King, Christina Collins, Jan Mills, Janet Waite, Larry (Bonnie) Abel and Donna Webb, seven great-grandchildren, Lily Bundy, Harper, and Hudson Collins, Dylan and Riley Mills, Brittney Davidson and Blaine Webster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Estel Collins. One son, Ronnie Collins, six brothers, George, Jim, Will, Everett, Henry, and Thea, two sisters Ethel Gregory and Kate Cheek.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford, burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
