(MITCHELL) – A man was arrested Tuesday after a Mitchell Police officer responded to a call about a male yelling at an elderly woman in the 1100 block of Tulip Street.
According to a probable cause affidavit, when the officer arrived he found 31-year-old Mark Gardner exit a garage and detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana.
Gardner told the officer he felt “like a robot” when asked how much marijuana he had smoked, he said “just a little.”
On a table in the garage the officer found a bag and a metal box. The metal box contained multiple bags some contained marijuana and others contained meth.
Gardner was asked when was the last time he used meth and he said earlier in the day but it made him feel different this time.
Gardner was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.
