Donna B. Dalton Sweigart, 95, of Mitchell, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, at Mitchell Manor.
Born July 16, 1925, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Roy E. and Pauline (Braman) Dalton. She married William F. Sweigart August 16, 1992, and he preceded her in death December 21, 2006.
Donna B. retired from Public Service Indiana. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1943 and was past president and director of the Mitchell High School Alumni Association. Donna B. was a member of the Jacob Finger United Methodist Church and had served as treasurer of the Board of Trustees. She was a member of Gamma Epsilon chapter of Tri Kappa, was president from 1960-1962 and 1990-1992, and for several years chaired the Candlelight Tour. In 1972 she was the Persimmon Festival Chairman. Donna B. was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 250 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
