Edwin D. Cahill, 81, of Shoals, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at his residence.
He was born August 27, 1939, in Lawrence County to Howard and Ruth Cahill. He married Donna Littrell and she survives. Edwin retired from General Motors in Bedford and was of the Christian Faith. He was an U.S.
Army veteran, past member of the American Legion Cecil C. Martin Lodge Post 250 and the Moose Lodge. He loved hunting, fishing, and racing.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Donna; five children, Amber (Jeremy) Hedge, Heather (Bob) Cahill, LaDonna Hacker, Mike (June) Cahill, and Jeff Cahill; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wendell Cahill; and three sisters, Evelyn Baker, Lois Cahill, and Mary Henson.
Services for Edwin will be Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Pastor Chris Babcock officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at the chapel. Burial will follow in Bass Cemetery, Mitchell.
